That however depraved and disgraceful Blagojevich's behavior might be, he did not spring full-grown from the forehead of Zeus; that the very casualness of his loud, loutish, where's-my-fucking-slice attitude of absolute entitlement speaks of a man who was raised as a barbarian, in exactly that sense George Bernard Shaw conveyed in "Caesar and Cleopatra":
"...he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature."
