The netroots definitely helped bring pressure to bear in this incident. We need to make this kind of thing unacceptable every time it happens. I suspect there will be a good deal more of this for the first 6-12 mons. of an Obama administration (if we win) so we need to push back hard and make an example of this type of behavior.
I am gratified that she was forced to step down and apologize.
