Monday Night DNCC Schedule

Democrats Unveil Additional Key Speakers for Monday August 25th Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senator Claire McCaskill & Craig Robinson to present a Tribute to Senator Kennedy.

DENVER – The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) and the Obama for America Campaign announced today that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Permanent Chair of the 2008 Convention, will have a prominent speaking role on Monday August 25th, the opening night of the Convention. Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri and Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama's older brother, will be among the featured speakers on Monday August 25th. As previously announced, Michelle Obama will headline Monday night.
Looking forward to hearing Michelle for sure, though I am still pretty pissed at Nancy. On top of all the Fisa stuff... she is coming here to Japan for a trip and try as we might the Dems here were unable so far to get in touch with her office to prepare some sort of event. These folks do all kinds of events and fundraisers when they travel to Europe but don't give us the time of day normally in Asia.

We did have a great visit with some people from the Obama campaign, congresswoman Hirono and Howard Dean. But we've had very little luck with other visiting congressional delegations.
