Just kidding, well... sort of.
I had gone quiet this weekend because I tried to install Ubuntu 7.04 "Feisty Fawn" onto a spare partition on my hard drive. While correctly identifying the partition to install to it also decided to rewrite my main boot record (MBR) and yes, if you think that doesn't sound good. You would be correct. I spent the rest of my weekend reinstalling my Windows 2000 Server partition and applications. So, let this be a warning. Go and get a copy of The Ultimate Boot CD. Have a copy handy, in fact, if you are feeling adventurous run Ranish's Partition Manager and get a backup of your MBR and other partition information. I would suggest extreme caution. Also, backups might be a good idea ;)
